We are delighted to announce the appointment of Vicki Gollasch as ALWS’s new Program Manager, effective 1 January 2025. Vicki brings over 12 years of dedicated service to ALWS, a wealth of experience in education and humanitarian aid, and a proven track record in leadership, collaboration, and program management.

Throughout her career at ALWS, Vicki has made remarkable contributions that reflect her deep commitment to our mission. As Resources Coordinator and Safeguarding Focal, she developed robust training frameworks for international partners, managed critical resources, and led safeguarding initiatives to ensure full compliance with DFAT and ACFID standards. Her expertise has also been recognized on a global stage, serving in a support role to the ACT Alliance Community of Practice on Safeguarding, where she has helped shape best practices across the sector.

Vicki’s contributions extend to our educational outreach, where she has created impactful online resources, including the highly acclaimed What’s My Business school unit, and personally delivered hundreds of school presentations. Her ability to build strong and meaningful relationships—both locally and internationally—has been instrumental in strengthening ALWS’s partnerships and amplifying our impact.

With a background in Lutheran Education, Vicki has served in diverse roles, including classroom teacherresource developer, and Acting Principal. Her adaptability, dedication, and leadership embody the values that ALWS holds dear. As Program Manager, Vicki will continue to foster key relationships with beneficiaries and partners, ensuring ALWS remains a trusted provider of humanitarian aid to those who need it most.

Reflecting on her appointment, Vicki shared:
