Walk My Way Ukraine – Report Back

On Saturday 11 May, an inspiring group of Queenslanders stepped out at ALWS’ first Brisbane Walk My Way Ukraine and sent a bright message of hope to Ukrainian children and families displaced by war.

The sight of hundreds of blue shirts ambling through the heart of Brisbane and the incredible generosity of supporters sent a powerful message of hope to Ukraine, a message that was received with grateful hearts by Lutheran World Federation (LWF), our international partners on the frontline in Ukraine.

“I saw the pictures of you after the event and my heart was full of joy!”
Mark Mullan, LWF Country Representative Ukraine

In fact, Mark Mullan was so moved by the efforts of walkers that he wanted to send a personal message of thanks. You can watch Mark’s message for you, direct from Ukraine, below.

See the work you’ve supported

Your generosity expressed through Walk My Way Ukraine is supporting projects that provide emergency food and water to families in need, rebuilt classrooms so children can return to school and 1500 renovated apartments in Kharkiv so families can return home.

When you watch this 7 minute video from the front line of your work in Ukraine, you’ll weep tears of joy when you see the hope you bring into the hurt!
